Public transport
Security and orderly conduct have a major role to play in public transport. CIBORIUS takes care of this at bus and train stations, airports and ship terminals. Our personnel also help to make rail travel a pleasant experience, for example with patrols on regional trains. Of course, freight must also arrive safely at its destination, which involves guarding duties at sensitive storage areas before it is loaded and after arrival. Our particular strength goes beyond performing security services; it starts at the planning stage. We work with you to develop a security concept and create a tailor-made package of measures – from passenger and baggage screening to entry checks and the securing of spaces such as bus and train depots and even aircraft hangars.

CIBORIUS staff are trained to a level beyond the industry standard
Our employees are given training and instruction to ensure they are well equipped to deal with any eventuality. This includes first aid training with a defibrillator, the fire protection and evacuation assistance certificate, the security specialist examination according to §34a of German trade law, unarmed self-defence and de-escalation training. They are also instructed in the use of self-defence equipment for specific purposes, including pepper spray, handcuffs and a telescopic baton.
Our ticket checking teams for local public transport additionally undergo the tariff training courses of the transport company.
Specifically for air travel, CIBORIUS personnel are trained in accordance with the relevant sections of the German Aviation Security Act (§5 for aviation security assistants, §7 for security personnel, §8 and §9 for aviation security screeners). CIBORIUS also secures sensitive maritime infrastructure such as ports, including with armed units, if necessary. We patrol the entire port area and guard docked ships. In addition to ferries, cruise ships and yachts, our deployment locations include cargo ships, tankers and off-shore facilities. On land, we protect and screen the crew, suppliers and passengers, as well as their baggage. Our employees undergo the appropriate training: specialists for maritime security are deployed as standard, as are holders of the security specialist certificates according to §10 of the Law on Security Companies on Ocean-Going Vessels and §34a of German trade law. Naturally, we have these qualifications regularly checked by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK).
State-of-the-art technology helps to prevent vandalism, theft and damage
Our personnel are trained to a level beyond the industry standard. To become even better, we rely on certification and strict quality management. This allows the standard of our work to be monitored and tracked at all times. Depending on the circumstances, it can make sense to use state-of-the-art security technology, for example when it comes to crowd screening, as video support can be used to spot potential threats. In addition, video surveillance at night helps to prevent vandalism and graffiti at bus and coach stations, parking facilities, hangars, terminals and freight stations. If something arouses suspicion, all the threads come together at CIBORIUS's own emergency and service control centre, where measures are initiated in accordance with the predefined plan.
